I am so excited to start another school year and thrilled to have just received an Osmo in the mail. This was generously donated to my classroom from people on adoptaclassroom.org. As a bonus, Osmo donated another Osmo to a teacher at Greenville. They're an amazing business! The Osmo can be used to practice spelling, problem solving, drawing, and math concepts. What I love about this is that students are interacting with the Ipad but using actual physical objects to do so. For example, a student is asked to create a swan using shapes and they must place the physical shape blocks in front of the camera to create it. I will leave some videos below so you can see some of the ways the Osmo can be used. I can't wait for the third graders to try it out!
